EDUCATION: I graduated from Bruce School as salutatorian in 1980 and with highest honors from UW-La Crosse in 1984. I have been a teacher in the Bruce School District since 1985, teaching 4th grade for 10 years, 1st grade for 1 year, and 2nd grade for the rest of my teaching career. I have more than 30 graduate-level credits as I continue to take classes and participate in book studies to stay current with best practices in teaching.
FAMILY: I have 3 wonderful kids and an adorable granddaughter. My son Jacob graduated from UW-La Crosse with a degree in computer science. Kyle attended WITC and has a degree in welding. He is married and is the proud daddy of my beautiful granddaughter, Lia. My daughter Kara attends UW-Madison with plans to pursue a degree in chemical engineering. I'm very proud of all 3 of my children and am grateful for the education they received here at the Bruce School.
FAVORITES: I like reading, hiking, flowers, summer, the color blue, chocolate, Packers, Brewers, Badgers, yoga, thunderstorms, learning about plants, camping, kayaking, spending time with my family, coffee, tea, and lunch with friends.
