The Bruce School District is a member of the East Lakeland Conference and offers middle and high school students a variety of athletic opportunities, such as baseball, boys and girls basketball, cross-country, football, softball, track, volleyball, swimming, golf, cheerleading, and wrestling. 8-man football is in the CWWC conference.

Students can sign up to participate in any of Bruce's athletic programs by following the steps below. Students will need to watch two videos linked below and take a quiz. They can find the quiz answers in the videos and the top four information forms listed in Step 1 below. Every student-athlete at Bruce School District will need to log in with their own school account to take the quiz.

Step 1 - Print and Read Forms
  • 2025-26 High School Athletic Eligibility Information Bulletin
  • 2025-26 BRUCE CO-CURRICULAR CODE
  • 2025-26 Bruce Co-Curricular Code Powerpoint
  • 2025-26 Parent Guardian 24 hour Policy
  • Dual Sport Policy
  • Concussion Fact Sheet for High School Athletes
  • Concussion Fact Sheet for Parents

Step 2 - Watch Parent/Athlete Informational Videos

  • Video
  • Athletic Code Meeting Powerpoint
  • Athletic Code Meeting Video from Powerpoint

Step 3 - Take the Parent and Athlete Quiz

  • 2025-26 Student/Parent Quiz

Step 4 - Print and Sign Forms

  • 2025-26 Emergency Release
  • 2025-26 Single Signature Page

Step 5 - Find Out if You Need a Physical or Alt Year Card

  • Check Here

Athletes:  The attached document indicates if you need a physical to participate in Sports at Bruce Middle School and High School next school year.

If physical is keyed into the column next to your name, you will need to go to a doctor and get a physical.  All 6th graders will need a physical. It is also recommended that all 5th graders participating in sports get a physical, but if you do a yearly check-up that information will work. If alt year is keyed into the column, you will just have to fill out the alt year form.  If it says ok, you are good.

If your name is not on the list, I have no papers from you and you will need to get a physical.  If you think you had a physical and the information is wrong, contact your doctor and get a copy of your physical and fill out an alt-year form.

There will be a free physical event sometime in late July at Marshfield Clinic.

Make sure you get your physical before August that way you can start practice on the day sports practices start.

Step 6 - When all steps are complete, turn everything in to the office, Mr. Schmitz, or to your coach.

Athletes will not be able to participate until all forms are turned in.

Reminder to all athletes - Bring Your Own Water Bottle!
