It is hard to believe that the 2026 - 2027 school year is already here!
We have had a very busy, hot and dusty but productive summer here at the HOME of the Red Raiders, and are crazy excited to get the new school year under way! When you visit during Open House you will see a host of updates and changes as we leverage the community support given to the district in the spring of 2025 to modernize our learning and welcome spaces, as well as security and technology upgrades. We cannot tell you how appreciative we are for the support or how excited we are for you to walk through our brightened hallways, our modernized Welcome Center and secure entry, our updated Business Education Center, Metals Fabrication, Construction, Chemistry and Computer Aided Design Labs! We have also opened up the Strength and Conditioning Center and are looking to start enrolling community members for "membership" in the Red Raider Fitness Program.
As we start the school year, the beginning of my second year here in Bruce, we will be working hard to continue building momentum toward achievement of our Strategic Priorities that were approved by the Board of Education in April. The next couple of years will really be focused on:
Strategic Area 1: Academic Excellence and Student Outcomes
Strategic Area 2: Fiscal Stewardship
Strategic Area 3: High Quality Workforce
Strategic Area 4: Community Engagement
Each of these four priority areas relates directly to every stakeholder in the Red Raider School Community and the larger school district area all the way from Weirgor and Exeland to Big Bend and Washington. We know that our district covers more than 240 geographic miles but we want every Red Raider, future Red Raider and want to be Red Raider, to feel that this school district is working to meet the needs of our community as we prepare future generations of workers, leaders, innovators and doers! Our belief is that by focusing on Academic Excellence and Student Outcomes, Fiscal Stewardship, a High Quality Workforce and Community Engagement we will continue to be an important partner in the economic, social and wellness growth of students, families and business living and recreating in the Bruce Community.

We value family and community presence at all of our Red Raider events and encourage each of you to visit us for a game, concert or any of the wonderful events we host here at the HOME of the Red Raiders.
